Experience a unique low impact holiday at our family smallholding run by Caroline, husband Jan and children Leo and Hazel in a hidden location in Colyford, East Devon, an Area of Outstanding Natural beauty near the Jurassic coast beaches.
Jan and Caroline on veranda of Buzzard yurt
Come and stay in one of our two oak framed yurts made by Peter in the wilds of Wales. With only two very well spaced yurts, with their own facilities, this makes for easy and natural social distancing.
Buzzard yurt is surrounded by terraces of organically grown vegetables, fruits and flowers with views from its handmade veranda over the beautiful Axe valley.
Kingfisher yurt is in a private spot down by the oaks and our natural wild swimming pond.
Each yurt has its own indoor cooking and living spaces a short walk away, plus a shower with solar hot water and solar electricity, so you have plenty of space and your own facilities to enjoy during your holiday.
There’s always plenty to do and experience on our smallholding with seasonal tasks such as: collecting eggs, sowing seeds, planting, watering, harvesting, juicing, preserving- if you want to get involved, or equally it’s a great place for relaxing, playing and being together.
Walk straight out from your yurt onto a network of footpaths through ancient woodland, fields, local rivers and beaches. We are pet friendly and situated away from busy roads in wonderful walking country. We link up with the East Devon way footpath and are very close to the South West Coast path.
